This is a weekend-long symplectic geometry workshop for students and researchers in Southern Calfiornia.
Participants will stay in a house together in the
Big Bear area.
There will be a schedule of talks for which participants can sign up, as well as talks from our invited experts on the topic.
Anyone is welcome to apply.
The organizers are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment, and encourage applicants of all backgrounds, especially from underrepresented groups.
We will be learning about the exciting recent work of Cristofaro-Gardiner, Humilière, Mak, Polterovich, Seyfaddini, Shelukhin, Smith, and others involving symmetric products of symplectic manifolds and associated spectral invariants, and their applications to displaceability of Lagrangian links, the simplicity conjecture, and other problems.
Here are some relevant papers: [1] [2] [3] [4].
The deadline for applying was October 4. If you have any inquiries, please contact the organizers at “sheel.ganatra AT usc DOT edu”, “jhelfer AT usc DOT edu”, and “kyler.siegel AT usc DOT edu”.
